VP supplies cleats with attachment hardware separately. If the retailer that sold you the bike or the pedals does not have cleats in stock, ask the shop to order some from their VP distributor. Some cyclists do seem to find VP-C01 usable with certain pedals made by other companies. However VP-C01 is designed to be compatible only with VP pedals (see "Which cleats are compatible with my VP clipless pedals?" FAQ). VP cannot guarantee compatibility with any other pedals and is not responsible for any problems that might arise by using VP-C01 with pedals other than those recommended.

Bio cleat is clipless pedal / cleat interface; a joint design project by VP Components and Look Cycle International, now discontinued. Bio Cleat has been superseded by new pedals (VP-M11, VP-31, VP-R61) that utilise a new binding design but use the same cleats we have sold for many years, the VP-C01. Bio Cleats are only compatible with Bio Cleat pedals. VP-C01 cleats are incompatible with Bio Cleat pedals. We continue to supply replacement cleats (Model: VP-C07) for Bio Cleat pedals. LSL bearings are custom designed oil impregnated bushing bearings. LSL (Lightweight Self Lubricating) bearings are a crucial component in many of VP's high-end pedals. Pioneered by VP for use in bicycle pedals, LSL bearings allow us to build a lighter pedal, with a lower profile, which results in a low stack height (distance from the shoe sole to the axle center). As they are constructed from a highly durable but extremely low friction advanced composite material, and are virtually maintenance free, LSL bearings are ideal for tough road or off-road riding.

- High resistance to distortion (perform particularly well in off-road conditions with vibration, frequent starting/stopping, and constantly varying speed)

Yes, all of our clipless pedals are supplied with one pair of cleats and a set of hardware for attaching the cleats to the soles of cycling shoes.

All pedal, cleat and toe clip weights are for pairs, in grams. e.g. 250 g/pr = 250 grams a pair.

On this website, the first figure given for each model refers to the width of the pedal (measured from crank arm to the outer most point of the pedal). The second figure is for the length; from front to back. Figures are in millimetres.
